Imagine yourself gliding down the broad staircase of a Georgian Colonial house dating from 1760 in your wedding dress. At the bottom, your groom awaits and your photographer is capturing you at your finest. It's no fantasy, you can actually arrange for your wedding photography at the stunning Wentworth-Gardner House.

Your Portsmouth NH wedding will be truly special when your memories and photo album are filled with images of grace and beauty enhanced by the backdrop of this gracious mansion. Watch the video at the bottom of this page to see the story of how one photographer put together a team of local wedding specialists to showcase wedding photography in grand style.

The Wentworth-Gardner House was built in 1760 as a wedding present by the Wentworth family for their son, Thomas. How appropriate is it that happy couples over 250 years later can have their special moment captured in this historic house? Could you imagine a more appropriate setting?

Here's what the photographer from our featured shoot has to say about wedding photography at the Wentworth-Gardner:

"I've photographed many historic houses in Portsmouth, but the attention to detail at the Wentworth Gardner House really sparked my imagination. It feels very lived in and alive even though it's a seasonal museum...and the light is beautiful all times of the day. I highly recommend it for any bride that wants something truly unique and artistic for their wedding day. Stacey, the house manager, catered to our every need and was so fun and helpful the day of our shoot."
